User Roles and Permissions for Fund Managers

This document outlines the roles, and permissions for fund managers.

User permissions are a key part of securing sensitive information on Caruso. This guide outlines the roles and permissions available to fund managers, and how to manage them.


How to Access and Modify User Roles

  • In the Settings section, click Teammates to view, add, or modify user roles.


Roles

Caruso offers standard roles designed according to best practices for role-based access control.


1. Super Admin

The Super Admin role has the highest level of access.

Super Admin can:

  • Read teammate roles and permissions

  • Create, edit, and review CRM details (tasks, accounts, investing entities, etc.)

  • Create, edit, and review registry details (funds, capital raises, etc.)

  • Create, edit, and review reports and statements

  • Impersonate investors

Super Admin has edit and review access across all of Caruso.

2. Full Admin (Approver)

The Full Admin (Approver) role holds the second highest level of access.

Full Admin (Approver) can:

  • Read teammate roles and permissions

  • Create, edit, and review CRM details (tasks, accounts, investing entities, etc.)

  • Create, edit, and review registry details (funds, capital raises, etc.)

  • Create, edit, and review reports and statements

  • Impersonate investors

Note: Full Admin (Approver) cannot manage teammate roles and permissions.

3. Full Admin (Editor)

This is a junior role to Full Admin (Approver).

Full Admin (Editor) can:

  • Read teammate roles and permissions

  • Create and edit CRM details (tasks, accounts, investing entities, etc.)

  • Create and edit registry (funds, capital raises, etc.)

  • Create and edit reports and statements

  • Impersonate investors

Note: Editors cannot approve high-risk items such as:

  • Wholesale certificates

  • Orders (allocation requests, redemptions, secondary market activity)

  • Distributions
    Bulk statements

4. Read-Only

This role is highly restricted.

Read-Only can:

  • Read teammate roles and permissions

  • Read CRM details (tasks, accounts, investing entities, etc.)

  • Read investments (funds, capital raises, etc.)

  • Read/download reports and statements

  • Read-Only cannot impersonate investors.
