Unit value represents the price of a single unit in a unit . It reflects the unit class's overall value and is used to calculate the worth of each investor's holdings. Keeping unit values up to date ensures that fund performance and investor statements accurately reflect current valuations.
Key Information
All funds have a default unit class named "Ordinary", which can be renamed but not deleted.
Each unit class can have its own unit value, allowing for greater flexibility across different investor groups.
Unit value supports up to 6 decimal places.
When a fund is first created, unit value is not set automatically. Holdings can still be created or imported with unit quantities, but their value will not be calculated until an effective unit value is set.
Important: It is essential to set a unit value for each unit class from the start of the registry, as unit value is used for downstream calculations such as distributions and holding values.
How to Set a Unit Value
To set or update the unit value for a unit class:
Navigate to the relevant fund
