Quarterly Tax File Number (QTFN) Submissions

Australian fund managers can now use Caruso’s File Converter tool to create the prescribed Australian Tax Office (ATO) reporting for Quarterly Tax File Number (QTFN) submissions.


Supported Version

Caruso supports the latest File Upload Specification: Electronic Specification v6.2.2.


How to Prepare Your QTFN Submission

  1. Download the All Holdings Report

    • Go to the Reports section.

    • Download the All Holdings report.

    • Select the report date representing the end of the quarter you are reporting on (e.g., 31 December 2024 for Q4).

  2. Upload Report to File Converter

    • Navigate to the File Converter section.

    • Select the QTFN File Converter.

    • Upload the previously downloaded All Holdings report.

  3. Provide Additional Required Information

    • As some required data is not stored in Caruso, the converter will prompt you to provide the following:

Select Production for your final submission.

Fund

  • Select a specific fund to download one submission file for that fund

File For

Supplier Details

  • Supplier ABN

    • If your Supplier ABN is the same as the Fund ABN (stored on Caruso as Fund - Registration Number), simply select the check box to auto-populate this field in each tile.

  • Supplier Contact Details

    • Please complete the remaining supplier details. These will be included in each submission file.
