Australian fund managers can now use Caruso’s File Converter tool to create the prescribed Australian Tax Office (ATO) reporting for Quarterly Tax File Number (QTFN) submissions.
Supported Version
Caruso supports the latest File Upload Specification: Electronic Specification v6.2.2.
Step 1: Download the All Holdings Report
In the navigation pane, select Reports
Download the All Holdings Report
Select the report date representing the end of the quarter you are reporting on (e.g. 31 December 2024 for Q4)
Step 2: Upload Report to File Converter
In the navigation pane, select File Converter.
In the File Converter section, select the QTFN Converter from the dropdown
Upload the downloaded All Holdings Report
Note: If you do not see QTFN Converter as an option, please contact Caruso Support via live chat for assistance.
Step 3: Provide Additional Required Information
Once the All Holding Report is uploaded, the Configuration Panel will appear. Complete the following fields:
Required Field | Guidance |
Run Type | Choose Production for your final submission, or Test for a trial run |
Fund | Select a specific fund to generate one submission file for that fund |

After completing the fields, click Download files.
The submission package will be downloaded as a ZIP file.
Extract the ZIP file before submitting it to the ATO.
Do not attempt to open the extracted files, as this may corrupt the data and cause submission errors.
