A wholesale investor certificate confirms that you qualify as a wholesale (or sophisticated) investor. Some investment opportunities are only available to certified wholesale investors, so keeping a current certificate on file ensures you can apply without delay.
This article explains how to complete, upload and submit a wholesale certificate from the Investor Portal.
Before you start
You will need access to the Investor Portal and at least one investing entity set up on your account.
If your certificate must be signed by a qualified accountant or another party, allow time to have it completed before you upload it.
Step 1: Open your investing entity settings
Log in to the Investor Portal.
On your dashboard, select the name of the relevant investing entity.
Click Update Entity Settings.
Step 2: Complete the wholesale certificate
Go to the Certificates tab.
Click Download Wholesale Investor Certification to download a pre-formatted template.
Complete the template with the required details and have it signed where needed.
Step 3: Upload and submit
In the Certificates tab, upload your completed and signed certificate.
Click Submit to send it for review.
Note: Your fund manager is notified automatically once you submit, and they will review and verify the document.
After you submit
A certificate cannot be changed in the portal once it has been uploaded.
If a certificate is expired or invalid, or you need to replace it for any other reason, contact your fund manager.
Your certificate must be current to invest in opportunities that are restricted to wholesale investors.
Tips
Check the expiry date on your certificate so you can renew it before it lapses and avoid delays when applying.
If you hold more than one investing entity, upload a certificate for each entity that needs one.
