Caruso allows you to request a wholesale certificate directly from an investor. This process automatically notifies the investor by email and through the Investor Portal, making it simple for them to complete and submit the certificate securely.
Requesting a Wholesale Certificate
Follow the steps below in the Admin App:
Navigate to the relevant Investing Entity
Open the Certification section
Click Request Wholesale Certificate
What Happens Next
Once the request is triggered, Caruso will automatically:
Send an email to the investor requesting the wholesale certificate
Display a notification in the Investor Portal for the investor
What the Investor Sees (Investor Portal)
When the investor clicks the link in the email or selects the portal notification, they will be guided through a simple flow where they can:
Download the wholesale certificate template
Complete the certificate
Upload and submit the completed document directly in the Investor Portal
After the Certificate Is Submitted
Once the investor submits the certificate:
A task is created in the Admin App
The document appears as pending in the Certification section of the investing entity
An administrator can then:
Review the uploaded certificate
Select the appropriate certificate type
Confirm the signed date
Approve the certificate
Best Practice: Use a Fillable PDF
If you are providing a wholesale certificate template, it is strongly recommended to use a fillable PDF. This allows investors to complete the certificate digitally without printing, signing, and scanning.
