Follow the steps below to view existing funds or create a new one in Caruso.
Step 1: View Existing Funds
In the navigation pane, select Funds.
This will open the Funds list page, displaying all existing funds.
On the Funds list page, click Create Fund to set up a new fund, or select an existing fund you wish to view.
The Funds list includes an Investment Manager column, showing the Caruso admin user assigned to each fund. Funds with no assignment show "—".
To narrow the list, use the Investment Manager filter and select one or more admin users. Choose Unassigned to show only funds without an Investment Manager.
Step 2: Create a New Fund
Complete all required details in the Create Fund form
Optionally, select an Investment Manager. This is the Caruso admin user responsible for the fund, and the dropdown lists all active admin users at your organisation. The field can be left as Unassigned and updated later in the fund's Settings tab.
Click Save to finish.
Quick note on fund outgoing bank account:
By default, all unit classes use the fund’s outgoing bank account for distributions and redemptions payment file generation.
To add additional outgoing bank accounts, go to Fund > Bank Accounts and select Add new outgoing bank account.
To assign a different outgoing bank account to a specific unit class, please see the guide here.
Your newly created fund will now appear in the Funds list.
Important Note: Certain details, such as unit precision and regulatory fields, cannot be changed once the fund has been created. Review all information carefully before saving.
Next Step: Create a Capital Raise
After creating a fund, the next step is to create a capital raise. To do this, follow the guide here: How to Create an Offer.
