Verifying an investor's identity is a crucial step in the Know Your Customer (KYC) process. Caruso streamlines this by allowing investors and affiliated individuals to complete identity verification at the account level.
To initiate the process, locate the individual's account, navigate to the KYC tab, and click the "Send EIV Request" button to start the electronic identity verification.
A popup will display with details such as email and phone number to be reviewed. You can also set notification preferences by simply enabling or disabling whether the account should receive a text message.
Once confirmed, the account will receive an email and, if enabled by the admin, a text message containing a direct link to complete the request. Additionally, if the account logs in to the investor portal, a notification will prompt them to complete the identity verification process.
To finalise the request, the account holder simply follows the prompts to capture a photo of their identification and a selfie.
You can monitor the status of a KYC request against the relevant account within the KYC tab, including the timestamp of the most recent request sent.
