Caruso provides fund managers with the capability to allocate a risk profile rating for each investing entity, helping to meet obligations under Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) legislation.

Assigning a Risk Profile Rating

  • In the navigation pane, select Investing Entities

  • Click on the specific investing entity you wish to update

  • Within the entity’s details, use the Risk Profile dropdown to assign the relevant risk profile rating based on your assessment

Viewing the Risk Profile Rating

  • The assigned rating will be visible on the right-hand side of the Investing Entities list page

  • It will also appear in the All Investing Entities reports

Understanding Risk Ratings

While exact definitions may vary depending on your organisation’s policies, risk ratings generally follow these categories:

  • Low Risk: Entities with straightforward ownership structures and low exposure to money laundering or terrorism financing risks

  • Medium Risk: Entities with more complex structures or operations that require additional oversight

  • High Risk: Entities with complex or opaque structures, higher transaction volumes, or links to higher-risk jurisdictions that require enhanced due diligence

Important to Note: For guidelines on determining an investing entity’s risk rating, please consult your appointed compliance officer.
