You can manage bank accounts for an investing entity directly within Caruso. Follow the steps below to add, update, or set a default bank account.
Adding a Bank Account
In the navigation pane, select Investing Entities
Click the Bank Accounts tab
Select Add New Bank Account
Complete the bank account form, including:
Nickname (to help differentiate accounts)
Location
Account name
Account number
Upload a verification document
Click Confirm
Important to note:
Approval is required before a bank account can be set as the default. Only a Full Admin or Super Admin can approve or decline requests.
If a request is declined, a reason must be provided, and a notification can be sent to the investor if needed.
Once a bank account has been approved, you can set it as the default. See the article Setting a Default Bank Account for instructions.
It is not possible to add the same bank account more than once. If you need to re-add a bank account that is already on file, you must first contact the Caruso team to have the existing account deleted before adding it again.
For instructions on how to delete a bank account, please review the article How to Delete a Bank Account On the Admin Portal
Updating a Bank Account Nickname and Document
If you need to update the nickname or supporting document for a bank account, you can do this directly from the Bank Accounts tab.
Navigate to the Bank Accounts tab.
Locate the account you want to update, then click the ellipsis (…) on the right-hand side.
Select Edit.
In the pop-up window, update the Account nickname field as required.
To update the bank document:
Upload a new file by dragging and dropping it into the Documents section, or by clicking select files.
If you need to remove an existing file, click the X button next to it.
Once your updates are complete, click Confirm.
Important to note: Only the account nickname and supporting documents can be updated from this screen. If you need to make changes to other account details, please contact the Caruso team via live chat for assistance.
Setting a Default Bank Account
If you have multiple bank accounts, select one as the default by adding a tick
The default account will be used automatically for future redemptions.
Note: If a holding’s back account settings have been updated, changing the default bank account will not override that setting.
To update a Holding bank account:
Go to the Holdings tab
Scroll to the right and click the ellipsis (... )
Select Update Holding Settings
Update the holding bank account and click Confirm
Important: Once a holding has a specific bank account assigned, it no longer uses the default account and cannot be reverted to the default. After any changes to a bank account, double-check the holding to ensure the correct account is set.
