A bank account can only be deleted by the Caruso Support team. To request a deletion, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Flag the Bank Account for Deletion
In the navigation pane, click Investing Entities
Select the investing entity you wish to update
Go to the Bank Accounts tab
Click the ellipsis (three dots) next to the bank account and select Edit
Change the account nickname to CARUSODELETE
Note: Only bank accounts flagged with the nickname CARUSODELETE will be actioned for removal by the Caruso Support team.
Click Confirm to save the change
This helps our data team easily identify the account in the database.
Step 2: Contact Support
Start a live chat with our Support team
Include the investment ID in your message and confirm that you would like the bank account deleted
Example chat message:
Hi Team, please delete the bank account for IE ID: [XYZ] that is marked with CARUSODELETE.
Step 3: Use an Alternative Bank Account
You can continue using another bank account while the deletion request is being processed
To do this, set the alternative account as the default by ticking the checkbox in the default section
Note: If a holding’s back account settings have been updated, changing the default bank account will not override that setting.
To update a Holding bank account:
Go to the Holdings tab
Scroll to the right and click the ellipsis (... dots)
Select Update Holding Settings
Update the holding bank account and click Confirm
Important: Once a holding has a specific bank account assigned, it no longer uses the default account and cannot be reverted to the default. After any changes to a bank account, double-check the holding to ensure the correct account is set.
